Mountain High Volunteer Ski Patrol

Passion for Skiing – Compassion for People

Patroller skiing through powder snow

Recognized by National Ski Patrol’s Southern California Region as “Best Small Patrol-Alpine”, Mountain High Volunteer Ski Patrol is known for their excellence in trauma response at one of the busiest resorts in the nation.  MHVSP is a member-driven, non-profit organization that serves snow sport enthusiasts under the guidance of National Ski Patrol. We are a diverse group who share NSP’s six core values: Excellence, Service, Camaraderie, Leadership, Integrity, and Responsiveness.

Our NSP Patrol members are credentialed as Outdoor Emergency Care Technicians; the gold standard of pre-hospital care in outdoor environments.  We are first on the hill, marking hazards, placing signage, securing the boundary and assuring a safe environment for our guests.  At day’s end, we are last off of the mountain after sweeping the resort for any lingering or injured guests.  MHVSP covers three resorts, but serves as one patrol with a common theme: Legendary Patrolling.
